Princess Iron Fan, also known as Rakshasi, is a prominent demoness figure in the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. She first appears in chapter 59, guarding Flaming Mountain.
She is the wife of the Bull Demon King and the mother of Red Boy. A formidable and powerful demon in her own right, Princess Iron Fan possesses a magical fan that can extinguish the raging fires of Flaming Mountain, a natural obstacle blocking Tang Sanzang and his disciples' journey westward.
